Firestopping
FIRESTOPPING
Fire-Stopping is an effective form of passive fire protection used to create compartmentation and maintain the fire-resistance of a system and its ability to slow the transfer of flame, heat, smoke and toxic gasses. Containing and slowing the spread of fire and its by-products contributes to the efficiency of fire detection, suppression and other life-safety systems thus increasing the time available for occupant evacuation.
